Assessment Centre

At the Assessment Centre there will be a variety of activities for you to complete and you will be required for a full day.

Your performance will be assessed in:

• A group activity where you will undertake a work simulation
• A supervised psychometric assessment
• A Behavioural Interview

There will also be an opportunity for you to learn more about ANZ, and our Graduate Program, through a series of presentations.

You'll be asked to go to the venue closest to where you live.

IMPORTANT - Bring along your passport (or driver's licence and original birth certificate) to prove your identity and residency status. And don't forget to bring the original or a copy (certified by your University) of your academic transcript.

Group Activity

You'll be part of a work simulation, which involves solving a critical issue in a fictional company. It gives you the chance to show how you’d respond to a given scenario, and requires you to work both individually and in a small group.

Psychometric Assessment

You will be required to complete a supervised psychometric assessment to measure your critical reasoning ability.

Behavioural Interview

Our interviews are behaviourally based and a great way for us to find out about your skills, qualities and experience. You'll also be able to ask a few more questions of your own.

You'll be talking with senior managers from the relevant business unit that you have applied to join. In some cases, you might be asked to come to more than one interview.

Assessment Centre and Interview tips:

• Remember to bring your passport (or drivers licence and original birth certificate)
• Carefully listen to your assessor's instructions and read all the information provided
• Be prepared and do your research
• Show enthusiasm
• Be punctual
• Know exactly where you have to go
• Practice answering potential questions with friends and family. It really helps!
• Think about how you'll describe your most important achievements
• Make sure you get your good points across in a factual, sincere manner
• An interview is a two-way street. Have some questions ready
• Speak clearly and confidently
• If you don't understand a question, ask for clarification
• Dress professionally
